Sonia Sandhu
Sonia Sandhu is an undergraduate student in the Honours Psychology program with a minor in Political Science at York University, Toronto, Canada. She is currently an active volunteer at the Safe Haven organization which is a respite and residential centre for children and adolescence with disabilities and special care needs. She has a passion for feminist theory and political studies. Particularly regarding human rights and mental health studies focused through the macro lens of the Political and micro lens of Psychology. Sandhu's research interests to date include advancing healthcare practices for individuals with mental health concerns, feminist and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches, as well as psychoanalytic ethnography. She is planning to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology or social work.
